Heh. 31 years ten days for me. I signed the lease on my house in Wanlut Creek the day before Caid became a kingdom, and have therefore ALWAYS lived in the West!
Said house, super-conveniently across the street from the WC BART station, is now an office block, but they kept the magnificent pine tree in the front yard.
The revolting thing for me is that I've been in this "temporary" house now for 42 years this fall. (Some dreams just don't work out.) When you buy your house be sure to get one you really like!
Okay, I'm looking back and realizing that sometime in the final week of August last year (2008) marked 40 years since I left the Bay Area to move to Pennsylvania. And sometime in April 2008 marked 30 years since I moved into this house.
If you'd asked me in 1968, I would never have guessed that I'd have stayed in Pennsylvania this long.
